Before Carrie knew Mr. Big and slipped into Manolos, she was a high school student in a small Connecticut town, any fan of Sex and the City knows.
Candace Bushnell, the author and Connecticut native, has written the back story, “The Carrie Diaries,” a book about Carrie Bradshaw’s senior year of high school in the fictional town of Castlebury Connecticut in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Just weeks after the movie Sex and the City 2 is out, there is already talk of a movie on Carrie Bradshaw, the teen years.
E Online reports that New Line studios is interested in a movie rather than a TV series.
There is no official word on who would play Carrie as a Connecticut teen, but Miley Cyrus apparently said she wanted the role, E Online reported back in 2008.
Could that be why Cyrus had a cameo in SATC 2? Imagine Cyrus, minus the twang, in Izod. The whole casting process is something we'll have to wait and see on, but the "Carrie Diaries," the book, is a done deal.
Bushnell gives a glimpse into what it's all about on her Web site.

“It’s really the coming of age story for Carrie Bradshaw. Some stunning and starling things happen to her,” Bushnell said.
It’s no surprise that Bushnell created a suburban Connecticut past for Carrie. Bushnell, 51, grew up in Glastonbury and moved to New York City when she was 19 to go to college.
And, Bushnell tells MTV that there will be a “Carrie Diaries 2.” https://hollywoodcrush.mtv.com/2010/04/30/the-carrie-diaries-movie-tv-series.
