U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon has spent $41.9 million on her campaign.
That's more than any other candidate running for Congress. In fact, it's more than any two candidates running against each other for any other seat.
The fierce Senate race is Nevada comes in second, according to Center for Responsive Politics, where Sen. Harry Reid is in battle to retain his seat against Republican Sharron Angle.
Connecticut is the third smallest state in the country, but McMahon and Democratic candidate Richard Blumenthal have also raised more money than Sen. Barbara Boxer and her Republican contender Carly Fiorina in the much bigger battleground of California.
This is based on the latest campaign finance documents filed on Oct. 13.
