Ten people are without a home after a two-alarm fire ravaged a house on Kossuth Street in New Haven on Thursday evening, according to a spokesperson for the city, and the preliminary report suggests the Christmas went up in flames.
Fire officials worked for hours to stamp out the flames at 27 Kossuth Street. The home was heavily damaged and six adults and four children were displaced.
No injuries have been reported.
New Haven firefighters tweeted photos from the scene, one of which showed Christmas gifts that officials were able to save from the flames.
