One person is dead and two others injured after a crash involving two motorcycles and a passenger car in Rocky Hill Saturday afternoon.
Rocky Hill police said the accident occurred on Cromwell Avenue near the Cromwell line around 4:49 p.m.
When first responders arrived they found the operators of all three vehicles suffering injuries. All were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
Police said one motorcyclist, identified as Matthew J. Lanza, 37, of Cromwell died of his injuries.
The second motorcyclist, identified as Ronald A. McNeill Jr., 50, of Middletown, was seriously injured but as Tuesday was in stable condition. The driver of the car, identified as Pamela R. Hebb, 59, of Rocky Hill, suffered non-life threatening injuries. Both remain hospitalized.
According to police, it appears to two motorcycles were driving south on Cromwell Avenue and the passenger car was traveling north. The three vehicles all collided on the northbound side of the street, police said.
The Mid-State Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating this crash, along with the Rocky Hill Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit.
