A body has been found in the Naugatuck River in Torrington and police are investigating.
Torrington police said the body was found floating in the river near Riverside Avenue and the State Police dive team has been called in to assist in the recovery.
Officials said the afternoon the body is of a man who appeared to be in his 30s, but they have not identified him.
The investigation is ongoing and the body will be taken to the medical examiner's office in Farmington.
No additional information was immediately available.
