By the time firefighters could extinguished the fire, Kyle had died. They found his body next to his bed on the third floor of the home.
Kyle was second-grade student at New Beginnings Family Academy.
“We are deeply saddened about the passing of one of our students. Kyle’s untimely death is difficult for us to grasp, both as a school community and as individuals who love the promise of young children’s lives,” Principal Paul Whyte said in a statement.
Assistant Chief Dominick Carfi said this was a difficult fire, in part, because of narrow hallways in the home.
