West Street is closed as firefighters respond to a fire at a New Haven home on Wednesday morning.
It happened at a vacant 131 West Street home. There was no on inside at the time of the fire.
Firefighters believe the blaze started in the front room of the house and said it was contained to that area and under control within 10 minutes.
No firefighters were injured.
Crews were still on scene just before 7:30 a.m.
