Emergency crews responded to a partial building collapse in Hartford on Thursday morning.
The building is at 213 Capen St., according to police and the mayor’s office. City officials said the fire department evacuated everyone from the building and no one was injured.
The Hartford Police Department has closed Garden Street to northbound and southbound traffic between Edgewood and Greenfield street, and it has closed Capen Street to eastbound and westbound traffic between its intersections with Enfield and Garden street.
Residents should expect the closure to last throughout the day.
The City of Hartford Licenses and Inspections Division is currently assessing the property where the partial collapse happened to determine if the building is structurally sound.
