Police have identified the man who was found dead along the shore in Old Lyme on Monday and said he had been missing since November.
State police were alerted around 3 p.m. Monday after the body of a man was found along the shore near Hatchett's Point and said he has been identified as 44-year-old Juan Colon, of New Britain.
New Britain police received a report that Colon was missing on Nov. 23 and a Silver Alert was issued for him that evening.
Detectives from Central District Major Crime have taken over the investigation. Police said there is no criminal aspect to the death investigation.
