Firefighters quickly contained a quickly moving three-alarm fire in Stamford Wednesday night that threatened a condominium complex and no one was injured.
Firefighters responded to calls of a brush fire outside a building in the Waterside Green complex at 1 Southfield Avenue around 7:30 p.m. and found fire on all three floors, as well as in the attic.
Because of the size of the fire and the building construction, the fire was escalated to three alarms to bring in resources from several companies, according to the Stamford Fire Department.
Captain Philip Hayes, of the Stamford Fire Department, said everyone made it out safely.
The Red Cross responded to help residents of two homes and the fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause of the fire.
