A Bristol man is in police custody in North Carolina and will face murder charges in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old early Saturday morning.
Joshua Daniels, of Conlon Street in Bristol, was identified as a suspect and taken into custody Sunday afternoon in North Carolina, according to police. Daniels will be held in North Carolina and extradited to Connecticut.
He's accused of stabbing 19-year-old Joey Klett to death at a house party on Irving Street in Bristol on Saturday night.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after midnight and found Klett suffering from stab wounds in a car with three other people. The car appeared to be speeding, and the occupants told officers they were en route to Bristol Hospital.
Klett was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Daniels will face murder charges after his return to Connecticut.
