A Norwalk, Connecticut, man faces charges after his 12-year-old son allegedly crashed the family car into a neighbor's house.
Police say 45-year-old Giuseppe Manugus allowed the boy to get behind the wheel Saturday.
He told authorities he was teaching his son to drive and instructed him to back down the driveway and then pull the car forward. They say the 12-year-old instead lost control of the vehicle, backed across the street and crashed into the home.
Police say the house suffered only minor damage and nobody was injured.
Manugus was charged with risk of injury to a minor. He is due in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 1.
An attempt to reach Manugus for comment Monday was unsuccessful. No listed phone number for him could be found.
