Fire damaged the multi-family home at 206 Scofield Avenue in Bridgeport on Thursday morning.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. and officials said the second floor sustained heavy damage, while the first floor sustained water and smoke damage.
Assessor’s records list the house as a two-family built in 1899.
Officials said three people live on first floor and they believe three others live on the second floor. All of the residents got out safely.
It took around 40 minutes for firefighters to knock down the flames.
The scene was clear as of 5:44 a.m., except for one truck that remained because crews could not turn off a broken fire hydrant.
