Fire broke out at a cottage on Highland Lake in Winsted Sunday afternoon.
Fire officials confirm crews responded to a structure fire on West Wakefield Boulevard, on the lake. Flames and smoke could be seen from the lake as crews battled the blaze.
The home is a total loss. It is unclear if any injuries were reported.
