A two-alarm fire Monday morning at an apartment complex in New London has displaced five people.
Fire officials said the fire at 70 Farmington Ave. was reported around 4:40 a.m.
When firefighters arrived, they said they found fire showing from two windows on the top floor.
The fire was knocked down in around 10 minutes and firefighters worked to knock down hotspots through the walls and the ceiling.
Officials initially said they were working to relocate 12 to 13 people of from 10 apartments that had fire and water damage, but later said the Red Cross is relocating five people.
The Red Cross is assisting with relocations.
There is no word on if anyone is injured.
