The U.S. Postal Service is investigating allegations that a mail carrier in Uncasville threw out mail instead of delivering it, according to a spokeswoman for the USPS.
It's not clear how many pieces of mail may have been affected. USPS spokesperson London Mulcahy said the investigation centers around the actions of one mail carrier on Feb. 6.
Mulcahy said the USPS was alerted to the allegations on Feb. 7 after residents receiving the report of undelivered mail.
Customers who are missing mail can make a complaint by calling 401-229-9250.
No charges have been filed.
