I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream, as the popular saying goes. And all week, Ben & Jerry's will do one better offering you free ice cream.
The national ice cream company's Save Our Swirled Climate Tesla tour is arriving in Hartford on Monday to give out free scoops. They've been traveling the country handing out free ice cream while raising awareness on the fight against climate change. Ben & Jerry's is partnering with grassroots organization Avaaz to do so.
Ben & Jerry's will be giving out free scoops in the capital city through July 31. All you have to do is tweet the Ben & Jerry's electric Tesla at @BenJerrysTour and tell them where to go.
The new ice cream flavor Save Our Swirled, abbreviated SOS, is raspberry ice cream with marshmallow and raspberry swirls and dark and white fudge ice cream cones, according to Ben & Jerry's website.
"As the world prepares for the Paris Climate Summit in December, 2015, our friends at Avaaz need millions more to join the climate movement in demanding action from our nation’s leaders," Ben & Jerry's website says on the Save Our Swirled page. "Add your voice to their petition and help them deliver the loudest message yet. A global shift to 100% clean energy by 2050 and complete phase-out of carbon pollution isn’t just nice, it’s a necessity."
More information on the initiative and how to sign the Avaaz petition for clean energy is available on Ben & Jerry's website or by following @BenJerrysTour on Twitter.
