A 31-year-old Wilton man is facing a slew of animal cruelty charges after reportedly allowing 15 chickens and ducks to starve to death at his home on Chestnut Hill Road.
According to police, officers responded to Sheldon’s home on Chestnut Hill Road in Wilton to investigate the report of a domestic incident on Dec. 6.
That incident turned out to be an argument and no charges were filed, but responding officers arrived to find 15 chickens and ducks that had starved to death at the home, police said.
Sheldon was taken into custody and held on a $7,500 bond. He’s charged with 15 counts of animal cruelty, one for each bird that died, and is due in court Dec. 16.
