A woman who was found in an alley off Washington Street in Hartford, undressed from the waist down and suffering from severe head injuries, has died, according to the Associated Press.
The woman killed is Sonia Rivera, her daughter, Noemi Torres, told NBC Connecticut.
"There's a monster out there," Torres said and appealed for the public's prayers for her mother.
Rivera kidneys, liver, lungs, small intestine and pancreas were donated to benefit four people. Torres said.
Hartford Hospital honored the decision on Wednesday with a ceremony outside the front entrance, raising a flag and reading a poem.
According to police, Rivera was found around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 27 and taken to the hospital.
