Firefighters responded to Nesbit Avenue in West Hartford Thursday morning to put out a fire at a house.
Dispatchers received a call at 6:07 a.m. reporting that a house was on fire and smoke and fire were coming from a window on the first floor and firefighters, the West Hartford Police Department and American Medical Response responded.
They found fire coming from the kitchen window of the two-story single-family home.
Residents were not immediately found and members of Engine 1 went inside and extinguished fire in the kitchen and first-floor areas before it extended to other areas of the home, officials said.
No one was found in the residence.
No injuries were reported.
