Baby wipes may cause some kids to develop itchy, scaly, red rashes, according to a new study. Until now, there haven’t been any reports of allergic reactions to moist wipes in kids in America, researchers noted in the study published in Pediatrics. However, that may be because reactions have been mistaken for other conditions like eczema and psoriasis. Dr. Robin Gehris said she has been seeing more kids with reactions to the wipes which may be explained by an increase use of a chemical preservative by manufacturers.
