Alexis Clemons

Alexis Clemons joined the NBC Connecticut StormTracker Weather Team in December 2024. Growing up near Tornado Alley in St. Louis, Missouri, she turned her childhood fear of storms into a lifelong passion for keeping communities informed and safe.

Alexis earned her degree in Atmospheric Science from the University of Missouri and honed her forecasting skills at news stations in Columbia and Joplin, Missouri. Before making the move to Connecticut, she spent time at WKOW in Madison, Wisconsin, where she covered everything from severe tornado outbreaks to heavy snowstorms.

Now thrilled to call the Northeast home, Alexis is eager to explore Connecticut’s vibrant restaurants, scenic beaches, and rich culture. You’ll also find her rooting for local teams like the Hartford Yard Goats, Yale Bulldogs, and UConn Huskies.
