Anthony Carpino, the weekday meteorologist on NBC Connecticut News at 11 am, joined the StormTracker Weather Team in July of 2023.
Before coming to NBC Connecticut, Anthony was a meteorologist at WRDW/WAGT in Augusta, Georgia. There, Anthony covered several tornado outbreaks, including a couple of EF-3 twisters. Anthony and the Chief Meteorologist at WRDW/WAGT won a Southeastern Regional Emmy for their 2022 coverage of the tornadoes.
Anthony has also been awarded a regional and national Edward R. Murrow Award for “Excellence in Innovation” for his augmented reality graphics and contributions to investigative stories and election coverage.
Anthony is a New England native and is excited to be back home. He is currently living in Manchester with his dog Storm.
