David Horwitz

David Horwitz is a sports and news reporter for NBC Connecticut. David joined the team in 2024 after serving as the morning and noon anchor for three years at Western Mass News in Springfield.

David was born and raised in West Hartford and discovered his passion for storytelling early on and pursued it at the University of Connecticut.

After college, David worked with at-risk youth, gaining invaluable experience in connecting with people and understanding their stories. David then went on to Fox 22/ABC 7 in Bangor, Maine, where he spent two years as a reporter and later as the weekend anchor.

David is excited to be back in his hometown, bringing timely, engaging, and impactful stories to our community. He is a huge sports fan, coaches basketball, and loves spending time with his family, friends, and wife in his free time.
