Kevin Nathan anchors the 11 a.m. newscast and co-anchors the 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. evening newscasts at NBC Connecticut.

Since joining NBC Connecticut in 1996, Kevin has won 12 New England Emmy awards – most recently in 2023 for his role co-anchoring the 11 a.m. - voted the best morning newscast in New England. Kevin has also been nominated for 49 New England Emmys - including best news anchor.

Kevin's passion for storytelling, breaking news, and finding local connections to his coverage runs deep. Over the last three decades, he has reported for NBC Connecticut from all over the country and the world, sharing some of Connecticut's happiest and saddest moments; from the coronavirus pandemic to the Dulos murder investigation, from Election Night to Inauguration Day, to field anchoring big weather and community events, to covering the congressional baseball shooting in Alexandria, Virginia, to live, local coverage at five Olympics and co-producing a documentary on the Hartford Whalers, Kevin has often been the state's first source of news on history-making events.

Prior to becoming a news anchor, Kevin spent 20 years as NBC Connecticut's sports director and reported live from five Super Bowls, seven World Series, countless trips to the Final Four for UConn men's and women's basketball, and numerous bowl games for UConn football. He was voted the Connecticut Sportscaster of the Year seven times by his peers.

In addition, Kevin was the sideline reporter for the UConn Football Radio Network, hosted "Sports Talk" on WTIC Newstalk 1080 and filled in as a sports anchor for WNBC in New York. He also anchored sports at television stations in Huntington, West Virginia, Martinsburg, West Virginia, and Utica, New York.

Kevin graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in 1990 where he was named a Division III All-American safety. As a senior in 1989, he helped lead the Red Devils to the Division III playoffs for the first time ever. He broke the school record with 10 interceptions as Dickinson went undefeated for the first time in 52 years. He also captained the Dickinson baseball team for three seasons.

Kevin went to Phillips Academy high school in Andover, Massachusetts. He is originally from Westhampton, New York on Long Island and spent part of his childhood in Bedford, New Hampshire.

In his free time, Kevin looks for ways to give back to the community he cares so much about. He has served as a board member for a variety of local charities and has volunteered as an emcee and host for hundreds of events across the state.

Kevin and his wife Kristine are the proud parents of three adult children: Ryan, Brynn, and Katy. When he is not spending time with his family and close friends, Kevin loves going to church, reading a good book, running, working out, 70s and 80s tunes, rooting for the Mets, Giants, and UConn, as well as relaxing at the beach.
