Do you believe in ghosts? If you don't, a trip through the Mark Twain House in Hartford might change your mind.
Those who have worked in the Mark Twain House have reported hearing odd noises, seeing strange visions, or catching a whiff of cigar smoke when no one else is around. The tales of specters have attracted nationally known paranormal investigators from Syfy's Ghost Hunters, and now you can get an idea of the spookiness they experienced.
The Mark Twain House is offering Graveyard Shift Ghost Tours June 24-25. The tours Friday and Saturday are scheduled every hour from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Small groups are led through the large, dark house, touring all three floors, the servants' wing and even the basement.
The hour-long tour costs $18 for adults 17 and up; $13 for children. The tour is not recommended for children under the age of 10.
