A Norwich man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police searched his apartment and found 21 guns, several grams of cocaine and heroin, prescription drugs, ammunition and more than $240 in cash.
Kevin M. Ganns, 34, of 100 Broad Street Apt. 103 in Norwich, was arrested around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday after police executed a search warrant of his home.
Police confiscated 13 handguns, five rifles and three shotguns, many of which were loaded and were not registered to Ganns.
Investigators also seized several grams of cocaine and heroin, 23 strips of suboxone, prescription drugs, two digital scales, cutting agents used to process the cocaine for sale on the streets, several thousand rounds of ammunition and more than $240 in cash.
Ganns is charged with possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with the intent to sell, possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to sell, two counts of possession of narcotics, two counts of possession of narcotics with the intent to cell and operating a drug factory.
He was held on a $50,000 bond and is due in Norwich Superior Court on Sept. 19.
