Shannon Miller is a weekend morning anchor at NBC Connecticut.
You can watch her Saturday and Sunday mornings, and reporting weeknights Wednesday through Friday.
Shannon is passionate about giving a voice to people in order to create a positive change. She feels a great responsibility and privilege in being able to help viewers and bring them justice.
The biggest story of her career so far was the coverage of a kidnapped and murdered realtor in Little Rock, Arkansas. Shannon interviewed the accused killer hours after his arrest and later in an exclusive jailhouse interview. The statements he gave on camera were used as key pieces in the prosecution’s case. Shannon was called as a witness in the trial, which ultimately led to a guilty verdict and life sentence for the suspect.
Shannon also covered the aftermath of the tornado in Joplin, Missouri, one of the single deadliest twisters in U.S. history.
Shannon comes to NBC Connecticut from KARK/FOX16 in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she was a weekend evening anchor and reporter. Before that, she worked as a morning anchor at KOLR10 in Springfield, Missouri.
She got her start in broadcasting at KNWA in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
In her free time, Shannon enjoys running and has a passion for mentoring young women. She feels right at home in Connecticut, enjoying everything the state and New England have to offer.
