Colorado Fires Show Need For More Fire-Resistant Homes

With wildfires still burning in suburbs outside of Boulder, Colorado, experts are calling for more awareness to the growing threat. Many communities and homes are not built to be fire-resilient, despite the cost to fireproof being low. “We need to rethink how we’re building,” says Jennifer Balch of EarthLab at University of Colorado Boulder.
