The city of New Haven is taking COVID-19 vaccination appointments for people who are 65 years old and older. On Thursday, Connecticut is expanding eligibility for people 65 and up statewide.
The city has opened a pop-up COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic at Steel Berger Apartments, housing for the elderly and disabled, to vaccinate residents of that housing development.
U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro attended the news conference Wednesday at the pop-up clinic and said that the state of Connecticut will receive 23,400 first doses of the Pfizer vaccine and another 23,400 second doses and 36,000 first doses of the Moderna vaccine and 36,000 second doses.
How to Register for a COVID-19 Vaccine in New Haven
If you are eligible, there are a few ways to sign up for a vaccination:

- Register online with the CT VAMS System
- Call the CT Vaccine Hotline at 1-877-918-2224
A news release from the mayor’s office says Yale-New Haven Health is also vaccinating and individuals can sign up online.
