COVID-19 Vaccine Update
Gov. Ned Lamont announced that 70% of all adults in Connecticut have received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
He pointed out that the national goal was to vaccinate 70% of adults by July 4, so Connecticut is way ahead of schedule.
The governor said he is prepared and expecting potential FDA authorization to vaccinate 12 to 15 year olds next week.
More than 1.9 million residents have received the first dose of the vaccine and nearly 1.5 million people are now fully vaccinated, according to state officials.
