Norwalk firefighters extricated a driver of a disabled car after a pick-up truck struck it from behind on Interstate 95 north in Norwalk, fire officials said.
The car was in the center dividers break down lane when a pick-up truck driving in the fast lane hit it.
Firefighters pulled the driver through the crushed passenger-side door.
The driver of the car had minor injuries and was taken to Norwalk Hospital to be treated.
The pick-up truck driver declined medical treatment.
Traffic was limited to one lane on the northbound side for about a half hour until tow trucks cleared the vehicles from the scene.
State police are investigating what caused the crash.
