A 12-year-old girl was injured during a hit-and-run on Ocean Avenue in New London Tuesday.
It happened just before 3:15 p.m. Police said the young girl was taken to the hospital for treatment. She has since been released.
The extent of her injuries is unknown. Authorities said the driver initially fled the scene, but was later located.
The crash remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 860-447-1481.
