A 12-year-old boy was hit by car around 4:20 p.m. in Fairfield Monday, according to police.
The 12-year-old was taken to the hospital and is being treated for minor injuries.
Police issued a citation to the driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
Police are said the sun glare could have affected this accident. The crash remains under investigation.
