Three families are displaced after a car crashed into an apartment building in New London on Tuesday night.
Firefighters said the car hit the building on Anthony Road around 10:45 p.m.
According to police, the driver was seen getting out of the car and running across the street and went into a house. Officers found the woman, who is from North Providence, Rhode Island, and arrested her.
She was taken to the hospital to be treated for some injuries.

Police said the woman does not know anyone in the house she went into. She is charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, failure to drive right, evading responsibility, risk of injury to a minor, operating without insurance, and first-degree burglary. She was held on $50,000 bond and appeared in court on Wednesday.
