Three additional Quinnipiac University basketball players have been charged in connection with an on-campus fight in September.
On Sept. 18, four Quinnipiac students were injured in an assault, according to Hamden police.
Police have charged a total of five of Quinnipiac University's 16 basketball players in connection with the attack, in which one student suffered a bruised jaw, cracked tooth and a laceration to the face that required 17 stitches. A second student suffered a broken nose, which required surgery. A third student was allegedly knocked unconscious and a fourth student suffered facial injuries.
Police have charged Jamee Jackson, 20, of Irvington, New Jersey. The junior forward on the team was charged with assault in the third degree, conspiracy to commit assault in the third degree and breach of peace. Jackson was released after posting a $5,000 bond.
David Johnson, 22, of Jackson, New Jersey, was charged with and breach of peace. The junior guard was released after posting a $2,500 bond.
Nate Gause, 18, of Poughkeepsie, New York, was charged with conspiracy to commit assault in the third degree and breach of peace. The freshman guard was released after posting a $2,500 bond and
All three are scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on Dec. 6.

Senior guard James Johnson, the team's leading scorer a year ago, and sophomore forward Ike Azotam were previously arrested.
A Quinnipiac University student told police he tried to break up a fight when Azotam, 20, struck him in the face.
A second student who was attempting to break up the fight told officers he was punched in the face several times as well. Officers determined that Johnson was suspected of punching the student, police said.
Johnson and Azotam pleaded not guilty to misdemeanor assault charges.
"All five team members who were involved have already been appropriately disciplined for the September incident by the university and received team sanctions from me as well," said Tom Moore, Quinnipiac men's basketball coach. "No other disciplinary action stemming from this incident is planned at this time."
