A young child and two adults were found dead inside of a home in Brooklyn, Connecticut on Tuesday night and the Eastern District Major Crime Squad is investigating.
State police said troopers received a report of a suspicious incident at a home on Middle Street around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and they found two adults and a child in the home. All three were pronounced dead at the scene.
Patricia Buell, the superintendent of schools for Brooklyn, said the child was not a student of the Brooklyn Public Schools. Counselors were being made available for students and staff.
"Tragic events such as this can impact people differently. Please reach out to counselors at the school or 211 to find counseling support if needed. We will address any needs as they arise. Please keep the family, neighbors, and first responders in your thoughts as we deal with this sad situation in Brooklyn," Buell said in a statement to Brooklyn families and school staff.
