A 77-year-old Bristol man who was hit by a car while trying to cross the road on Thursday afternoon has died, according to police.
John Levesque, 77, of Bristol, was in the area of 111 North Main Street and trying to cross the street when a car that was heading south hit him, police said.
When officers responded to the scene at 1:42 p.m., Levesque was unconscious and had a serious head injury.
He was then transported to a Hartford area hospital and died from his injuries, police said.
Police are investigating and ask anyone who witnesses the incident to call the Traffic Division at 860-584-3033.
