People crashed a stolen car into a gun store in Woodbridge early Wednesday morning and stole several guns, according to police.
Police responded to the Woodbridge Firearms Trading Post on Selden Street just after 3 a.m. when an alarm went off and found an empty car inside the store.
As they investigated, they learned the car had been stolen from New Haven and now believe four to five people were involved in the burglary, stole less than five guns and got away in a dark colored sedan waiting in a nearby parking lot. the theives were wearing gloves and masks, police said.

The store owner told NBC Connecticut he keeps the guns well-secured and that there are several security cameras on-site. Part of the investigation will include checking the 16 surveillance cameras the store installed.
A nearby business owner said the break-in surprised him.
"Because we're so close to the highway the officers do patrol this area quite a bit," Guy D'Aniello said.
New Haven Police are assisting Woodbridge Police in the search for the driver and any passengers. A police K-9 is also being used in the search.
Police are also investigating whether this burglar is connected to a car fire on the Ansonia-Seymour line minutes before the burglary.
