The estranged husband of a missing mother of five appeared in court Friday morning and his girlfriend both appeared in court Friday afternoon for charges connected to the disappearance of Jennifer Dulos.
Police who went to her New Canaan home after Jennifer was reported missing found blood spatter in the garage.
Jennifer’s estranged husband, Fotis Dulos, has been charged with two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of hindering prosecution.
He was in court around 10 a.m. and his attorney argued that the hindering charge should be dropped because it requires some other felony and he argued the law is unconstitutional on the tampering charge.
The prosecutor argued that a judge found probable cause for the charges, a warrant was issued and the request should be denied.
The judge said he will take it under advisement.

The judge also reminded Fotis Dulos about a gag order that is in place and to conduct himself accordingly.
The attorney did not speak outside court because of the gag order, but Fotis Dulos did.
"I just want say that I love my children. I miss them and I think about them all the time," he said.
Fotis Dulos is due in court next on Nov. 8.
Dulos' girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, has also been charged with two counts of tampering with evidence and one count of hindering with prosecution and she is due in court Friday afternoon.
She pleaded not guilty and her attoney asked for a jury trial. They asked for a court date of Oct. 25.
The judge said Troconis has been compliant with the conditions of her release.
Dulos and Troconis have both pleaded not guilty to prior charges and have been out on bond, wearing GPS monitoring devices.
