If you're not a fan of the cold weather you're going to really like the weekend forecast. If you're not a fan of snow either, you'll like the shift in the storm track for Monday/Tuesday.
Let's start off with the forecast for this weekend. Temperatures will be quite mild compared to the average high temperatures for this time of year. In fact, high temperatures this time of year are typically in the middle-30s.
Temperatures will range from the middle-40s along the water Saturday to near 50 degrees for inland Connecticut areas. In addition to the mild temperatures, it will also be quite breezy. Winds will be out of the south at 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph along the shoreline.
Clouds will be on the increase by Saturday night with showers moving in after 8 p.m. Scattered showers will continue through the overnight hours. The good news is that the showers taper off by 10 a.m. on Sunday with clearing skies by the afternoon. High temperatures on Sunday will reach the middle to upper 40s.
Now onto the changes in the snow forecast.
There has been an increasing trend to the east, significantly decreasing the chance for snow to kick off the workweek. There is still a chance it could scoot west again, although most of our models are in pretty good agreement that it will be a miss for New England.
With the track as it stands, Monday actually looks pretty nice with partly cloudy skies. Tuesday will be cloudier and we might still see a bit of light snow, but nothing that will amount to much.
