A mother of three young children from Ansonia is dead and police have charged the woman's husband with murder.
Police found a door open. They heard yelling and crying from inside the home and found 28-year-old Kamil Zielinski standing over the victim, 34-year-old Grace Zielinska, police said.
They said Zielinski made statements indicating he was responsible for the assault on Grace, police said.

According to court documents, he was crying heavily and said, "What have I done?" and dropped to his knees.
Zielinski was charged with murder and risk of injury. He was held on a $1 million bond and is due next in court on Nov. 24.

Zielinska was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital where she died of her injuries, police said.
Police said she was the mother of three children, ages 5, 3 and 4 months. The Department of Children and Families has custody of the children and they are working to get the children to another family member, according to police.
The 3-year-old and the 4-month-old were home at the time and were not injured, police said. The 5-year old was at school.
Ansonia police said there has been an increase in domestic violence amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic with people confined in their homes.
