AT&T will lay off 75 workers from across the state Wednesday.
A spokesman for CWA Local 1298, the union representing the workers, said the company notified them of the job cuts Monday.
The positions affected range from service representatives to technicians.
A spokesman for AT&T said the positions being cut are from the company's "wire line" sector, a declining part of their overall business, and all union workers have a guaranteed job offer within the company as part of their contract. Others will be offered a severance package based on their years of service.
