Investigators are working to determine what sparked a fire at a house in Stratford early Monday morning.
Firefighters were called to a home on Clifflawn Road shortly after midnight after the homeowner reported a fire in the attic.
When crews arrived, they said they found smoke coming from the roof and an active fire in the attic.
The fire was extinguished within a few minutes and was contained to the attic, near the home's attic exhaust fan, fire officials said.
Two people and a cat are displaced until repairs can be made to the home, authorities added.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
