A student at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain has died after she was found unresponsive on Sunday.
The school president said a student living in one of the residence halls, James Hall, was found unresponsive at about 10 a.m.
CCSU police responded and began CPR until the female was transported to the hospital. According to school officials, she later died.
The university identified her as 21-year-old Saradina Redman, of Burlington. Redman, known as Sara, was a senior who studied biomolecular science.

The Department of Biomolecular Sciences said the program was "honored to have had Sara as a major and are certain that she would have contributed strongly to the field and a successful career."
“Sara’s presence in our classrooms and laboratories will be missed by all," Chairperson Kathy Martin said.
It's unclear what caused Redman's death. The investigation is ongoing.

Staff from the school is meeting with and is providing support to the student's roommates, friends and hallmates.

A moment of silence will take place on Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. The university said they'll toll the clock tower bells in Redman's honor.
