A crash involving a motorcycle closed Route 9 North in Essex on Monday night.
According to state police, the highway was shut down between Exits 2 and 3.
Lifestar helicopter was called to transport a patient with serious injuries to Hartford Hospital, according to Valley Shore Dispatch. No other information was immediately available.
Route 9 North has since reopened.
