Crews respond to a brush fire in Ellington on Wednesday.
Multiple fire departments worked to put out a brush fire that fully engulfed a shed in Ellington Tuesday afternoon.
Crystal Lake Fire Department Assistant Chief Robert Edwards said about three acres of brush burned, along with a large shed.
Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to three neighboring homes, and the fire was contained within 90 minutes, according to Edwards.

Tolland authorities said they responded to Buff Cap Road and Ladd Road to provide mutual aid at about 2 p.m.
The fire danger in Connecticut remains extremely high today due to a combination of dry air, gust winds and a lack of rain. The entire state is under a Red Flag Warning.
No one was injured, but Edwards said a firefighter was checked out for smoke inhalation at the scene.
