Fight Ends With Gunfire

On Saturday night, two men were put in the hospital after fighting in a Vernon home, police said. The fight broke out around 8:30 p.m. on Cemetery Road. When officers arrived, they found one man had been shot and the other was hurt. Kenneth Morgan, 43, is accused of shooting another man during a dispute in the front yard of his home. Former Pfizer VP Faces Child Porn Ruling

A Bridgeport federal judge is expected to rule soon on a request that a woman victimized by child pornography be paid restitution by Alan Hesketh, former vice president of Pfizer.

Hesketh was sentenced to 78 months in prison for possessing and distributing nearly 2,000 photographs of child pornography.

Prosecutors said pictures of the female victim as a child subjected to sexual abuse turned up in his collection. Hesketh’s lawyer argues there is no precedent for awarding damages against someone who did not participate in the production of the pornography.
