Tuesday was day five in the divorce trial of UTC Chairman George David and his estranged wife Marie-Douglas David.
Mr. David was on the witness stand most of the day, sitting just a few feet from Mrs. David but rarely, if ever making eye contact.
The 67-year-old executive was grilled about some of his real estate holdings and questioned, in particular, about whether he had promised his wife that an apartment he had purchased on the water in Stockholm would be hers 'for the rest of her life'.
He said he had not.
Perhaps the most revealing testimony from Mr. David came when he was asked about his relationship with his wife since he had filed for divorce in July of 2007.
David testified that, in an attempt to reconcile, his wife often pursued him sexually - including at least one occasion when she 'forced herself' on him.
He was reluctant to have sex with the 36-year-old Swedish countess he said because they were separated and he was having sex with another woman.

His testimony included tales of business and pleasure travel to Paris, Frankfurt, Malta, Capri and St. Tropez - all within a few short months.
Also of note, testimony that Mrs. David had, at one point, filed for divorce in New York because she feared public disclosure of her finances.
Public disclosure of her finances has since revealed weekly expenses of $53,000. The Davids have homes in New York, Connecticut and Sweden.
The couple has filed for divorce 4 times since marrying in 2002.
They both signed a post-nuptial agreement that would give her abou $43 million in the event of a divorce but now she wants 100 million.
George David's net worth is estimated to be about $300 million.
