Shooting in New Haven leaves 2 in critical condition

A shooting in New Haven on Tuesday night has left two people in critical condition.

Officers responded to Rosette Street and Cedar Street around 6 p.m. after multiple 911 calls reported someone had been shot.

Once in the area, police said they found a 20-year-old New Haven resident who had been shot. He was not alert and was rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital. Investigators said he underwent emergency surgery and is in critical condition.

Shortly after, a second shooting victim, identified as a 19-year-old New Haven resident, arrived at the hospital. According to police, he also underwent surgery and is listed in critical condition.
